Environmental Impact

Our Philosophy

We minimize waste where we can, support sustainability where it’s realistic, and make decisions that reduce unnecessary impact without slowing down our players or our competitive goals.

No big promises.
No corporate greenwashing.
Just practical responsibility.

What We’re Doing Right Now (Actual, Achievable)

1. Low-Waste Content Production

We keep our production fully digital.
No print catalogs, no paper flyers, no unnecessary physical waste.

2. Smart Shipping Choices

When selling merchandise, we use:

  • consolidated shipments when possible

  • minimal packaging

  • recyclable mailers (when available through our vendor)

3. Digital-First Coaching & Community

Our education, content, and coaching services are almost entirely online — removing the resource cost of travel, paper materials, and printed guides.

4. Limited Physical Merch Drops

We do small batch merch, reducing inventory waste and overproduction.
If we produce it, we intend for it to be used — not thrown away.

5. Responsible Travel Choices

When attending tournaments, we choose:

  • carpooling when possible

  • public transit options

  • single-day turnarounds for low-impact trips

  • digital tickets rather than printed items

6. Future Storefront = Low Impact Planning

When Ashwood Games eventually opens as a physical store, it will prioritize:

  • LED lighting

  • minimal paper waste

  • recycling bins

  • energy-conscious operations

Simple decisions that stack over time.

Future Commitments (Flexible, Realistic)

As Ashwood United grows, we intend to:

  • partner with eco-friendly merch suppliers

  • source fully recyclable shipping materials

  • support community recycling programs for bulk commons

  • create a “low-waste TCG play” guide for our community

  • explore carbon-conscious travel planning for major events

These are not promises or deadlines — they are goals we’ll take on as resources allow.

No Greenwashing. Just Effort.

We love our games, our community, and the forests our brand imagery comes from.
We aren’t pretending to save the planet.
We’re simply doing what we can, when we can, in ways that fit our scale and our mission.

Environmental impact at Ashwood is simple:

  • reduce waste,

  • make smart choices,

  • grow responsibly.
